The Neapolitan legend
The name “Chiacchiere” is traced back to Queen Savoia. They say that she was entertaining some guests when suddenly she interrupted and called the chef of the court Raffaele Esposito, asking for something to nibble. So Raffaele prepared something quickly with an original shape, and gave this biscuits the name of “Chiacchiere, in honour of the Queen and her “chitchat” with her guests.
